Laboratory of
Solid-State
Quantum Electronics concentrates a critical mass of research members
and
associated staff to conduct cutting-edge, wide-scope research,
targeting the
core of the current and future of solid-state lasers and associated
technologies.
Our laboratory is organised in long-term programs that are implemented through projects focused on a given target for a limited period of time. Research projects are supported by national and international research agencies. Cooperations with private institutions are welcomed. The activity of laboratory includes basic, advanced and applied research on physics, selected applications of solid-state quantum electronics, i.e. processes of emission, amplification and control of spectral and temporal characteristics of radiation by interaction with discrete quantum systems embedded in transparent solids or with non-linear systems. |
